NCLEX TO BE OFFERED IN LONDON, SEOUL, HONG KONG |
The National
Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) has selected the first
three countries to begin offering the NCLEX examinations internationally.
Testing is expected to begin January 2005 in Seoul, South Korea;
London, England; and Hong Kong.

DELAY OF VISA SCREEN LAW YET |
Despite efforts
by many organizations, the CIS has still not issued a delay of the
July 26, 2004 healthcare worker certificate law. Organizations that
are in favor of a delay include: the U.S. Senate, CGFNS, the American
Hospital Association and the National Council of State Boards of
Nursing.

DOH BEGINS ACCEPTING PHYSICIAN'S CONRAD 30 WAIVER APPLICATIONS
EARLIER |
Previously,
the Texas Department of Health did not accept physician's applications
for the Texas Conrad 30 program until October 1st, the first day
of the new fiscal year. However, the Texas Dept. of Health will
now begin accepting applications for the next fiscal year as of
September 1st, 2004.
