| Overview Project
Medic offer superior alternative to respond to the nursing shortage by augmenting
the pool of available nurses for you by tapping labor pools in countries such
as India which have a surplus of qualified, English speaking candidates. Project
Medic focuses exclusively on contract and permanent placement of International
Nurses with acute care hospitals and other healthcare organizations across the
United States. We provide a total end-to-end International Nurse Recruitment Solution
for our clients: from candidate screening and selection to securing the state
RN licensure and completing all the immigration requirements. Our
international nurse recruitment services are designed to accommodate each hospital's
unique requirements and maximize their return on investment (ROI). Based on your
specific conditions and needs, you can chose from either of the two options: a)
Direct Permanent Placement b)
Long-term Nurse Contracting Direct
Permanent Placement: In
this program, the hospital signs an agreement with Project Medic to bring in specified
number of foreign nurses with required skill-set to fill their permanent staffing
needs (especially the chronic, long-term vacancies). The recruiting fees are usually
paid based on milestones starting with an initial advance with the order and ending
with final payment within 30 days of the foreign nurse starting work at your facility.
The
entire process from candidate sourcing to arranging interviews to facilitating
the immigration process is handled by Project Medic. In this program, once a candidate
is screening and selected, the hospital or the healthcare facility acts as the
'sponsor' to the foreign nurse for an employment-based green-card. The foreign
nurse is required by law to work for the 'sponsoring' employer for a minimum period
of 2 years. Hospitals not only improve their RN staffing levels, they also reduce
their RN turnover ratio leading to greater savings. Long
Term Nurse Contracting (or temp-to-perm model): Many
hospitals that have chronic nursing shortages have gotten used to utilizing costly
travel/agency nurses to maintain nurse-to-patient ratios almost round the
year and not just during high census period. Project Medic offers a cost-effective
alternative to these traditional travelers. The process starts with the hospital
signing a contract similar to that with a travel nursing company except that the
contact term is usually 1 year with option for permanent placement at the end
of the contract for an additional fee. There are no upfront fees to the hospital;
Project Medic does all the screening, immigration sponsorship, licensure and travel
arrangements for the international nurse at its cost until the nurse starts work
at the hospital with necessary work-permits and certifications. The hospital can
even terminate a nurses' contract at any given time with 30 days notice. For hospitals
that are new to international recruiting or those who first want to try out the
international nurses before making long-term commitment, this is a risk-free alternative.
