Step 1 - Join the Leader.......................................(1 day to 2 weeks)

   Complete Application to join Project Medic International
   Meet your Recruitment Specialist
   Complete Pre-Screen Testing
   Sign Employment Agreement

 

 

Step 2 - Registered Nurse Licensure................... (4-6 months)
   Custom Study Plan created for you
   We apply to the Board of Nursing for permission for you to take NCLEX    licensure exam
   Work with Education Specialist through your own Study Plan
   Set a date to test
   Attend seminars and workshops
   PASS NCLEX! TEST

 

 

Step 3 - Immigration......................................... (9-12 months)
   Apply for your Legal Permanent Residence (Green Card) USCIS prep (formerly    INS)
   Progress to NVC (National Visa Center) for further validation
   Obtain Visa Screen Certificate and review and verify English language
   Prepare for Green Card Interview with our guidance
   Obtain Green Card Approval

 

 


Step 4 - International Extended Study and Work Readiness... (2 to 3 months)
    Bridge international practice gaps
   Prepare for acculturation issues professionally and personally
   Prepare for hospital specific testing that may be required
 

 

 

 Step 5 - Finding the "right" job for you.............. ( 6-8 months)
    Review region selection
   Create placement profile (resume, skills checklist, references)
   Interview with Placement Specialist
   Profile Presentation
   Interview with Hospital Representative
   Accept Employment offer
 

 

 

 Step 6 - Arrival Across the Bridge.................... (1 week)
    Meet & Greet Week
   Welcome to your new home - acculturation and transition support
   First Day on the Job
   Facility Orientation
 

 

 

 Step 7 - Ongoing Support
    Clinical Liaisons
   Continuing Education
   Your Future

The Project Medic International Program takes approximately 12 to 18 months from recruitment to the time of placement. Our goal is to make your journey as smooth and quick as possible, while ensuring that all requirements are met. Most importantly, we place you at a hospital or other medical facility that best matches your background and future goals.

Please note that the timeline stated represents only estimated duration's for each of the steps and some steps may overlap one another. The program timeline is contingent upon both your participation and the governing immigration bodies
